Doctor Who: Back To The Start by Mr. A. Contains season 28 finale, be warned.
Honestly, how can anyone vid this fantastic song without stirring all those emotions inside that makes us teary?
This video explores the relationship between Rose and the 10th & 9th Doctor throughout the two seasons.
As you know, the song's title is The Scientist, which pretty much fits the Doctor, the Time Lord. Lyrically based (Tell me your secrets, and ask me your questions / Oh, lets go back to the start), the Doctor picked Rose as his companion to show her the universe and a new point of view about her life: on the "ask me your questions" line you can see them standing and watching the Earth while she's giving him a confused look. A quote to support my claims: in The Parting of the Ways Rose says, "The Doctor showed me a better way of living your life. That you don't just give up. You don't just let things happen. You make a stand. You say no. You have the guts to do what's right when everyone else just runs away." She trusts this mystery man and sees him as her guide and mentor. As a companion, she follows and tries to help her with the little knowledge she owns (I was just guessing at numbers and figures / Pulling your puzzles apart).
From the Doctor's point of view, it is obvious that for him Rose isn't just another companion - he cares deeply for her (You don't know how lovely you are / I had to find you, tell you I need you). Although he is the science man, his feelings for Rose open a door he almost never opens - love (Questions of science, science and progress / Do not speak as loud as my heart).
You can find in this video an indication for the feelings of us, the fans, as we say goodbye to Rose. Of course, I'm referring to the lines "Nobody said it was easy / Oh its such a shame for us to part / Nobody said it was easy / No one ever said it would be so hard / I'm going back to the start". The reversed speed in the end of the video might suggest we will go back and watch re-runs to remember how much we loved Rose/Doctor.
