Out of the loop!

Well It's been quite a wile since I've checked LJ and even longer since I've posted. So for any one that happens to care here's an update, going back a while for those that I never get to talk to.

Epim and I got a new car. It's my baby (daily driver)but Epim foots half the bill. It's a 2007 VW GTI. 200 Hp and 207 Ftlb of torque. She's quick. We call her Gizmo!

Let's see....I was rushed to the ER about a month ago with gallstones. That really hurt, but we got to nickname the nurse, "nurse stabbykins", she kept missing with the IV. Just as a help full hint in case you need to go to the ER. Wait until they change shifts,(it's around 6am depending on where you go) trust me, it's better to wait 30 minutes then to be there just as the sleep deprived intern is ending her grave yard shift. She didn't seem to like our nickname.

So after the ER I set up an appointment with a surgeon. Apparently now a days they just take out the whole Gallbladder... I thought I needed that... Apparently I don't need it that much. But they wouldn't let me keep it. I kept asking. Not even just the stone. *pout* The surgeon that I had the appointment with turned out to be quite incompetent. And so did his whole office staff. I don't know how many of you have gone through surgery, but when it takes a week and a half to hunt the surgeons assistant down after leaving 3 messages with 2 different people, it's a bad sign. I was supposed to have my operation on Monday. I wasn't able to get a hold of someone until 4:30pm the friday before. In talking to them they stated that after the operation I would need someone to then drive me, no not home...but to the drug store, to pick up the after care pain meds. Claiming that they didn't know what pain meds I would need until after the procedure. Needless to say I very bluntly told said woman what I thought of the surgeon and the office staff and that I was canceling. Not five minutes after hanging up the surgeons assistant finally called me back, very very sorry that she was having a busy day and didn't call me back. When I ask about the busy week and a half of not calling me back she got very quiet until I hung up. /Rant

Then I went to India... see photo's here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/shebamina India was very interesting. Epim was there for two weeks on business, then he flew me out there for his last week to wonder around. It's an eye opening mix of extravagantly rich and utterly poor right ontop of each other. India is half the size of the US with 4 times the population, so it's 8 times the population density. Just in the week that I was there, there was a bombing and 3 riots. One of which closed down parts of the city of Agra, so we almost didn't get to see the Taj Mahal. If you want to hear more about my trip let me know...I'm getting sleepy so I'm attempting to wrap up this post.

Once I got home I had a week back at work, then back off to a surgeon, this time a really good one that really knew his shit. He sliced 4 holes in me and pulled out an organ. Woohoo! I didn't do so well with the anisteisa. I had to be moved to an overnight room, where I then vomited and took a nap. Trust me, just after having abdominal surgery vomiting is not what you want to be doing. I took a week off of work, and today was my first day back at work. I ended up taking a half day because the pain was starting up again. I had done more moving around today than almost the whole week off combined.

Now I need sleep!
