i have decided I shall document my efforts to cut corners where it doesn't hurt too much. Here is my report on the following:
clean and clear cream face wash vs. rite aid cream face wash: With the latter, I save about 50% of the price, but it stinks! It doesn't remove make-up, and I miss the tingly clean feeling clean and clear gives you. Once I finish my stupid bottle of the rite-aid stuff, I'm going back to clean and clear, when it's on sale.
Body shop Vitamin E moisture cream vs. Prescriptives Vitamin infuser: The latter is about 3 times more expensive, not even taking volume into consideration, and is a miracle worker. I swear you can sleep for 10 minutes and show up looking dewey and fresh if you put this stuff on. Unfortunately, it is still too expensive for me (I relished a free sample in high school) but ONE DAY it shall be in my make up bag. The body shop stuff is nice, gives me a nice glow and soothes my dry patches of skin, so it's a keeper for the time being.
St. Ives vs. Clinique face moisturizer: buy the first one and you'll save like 20 bucks, but unfortunately it's a less satisfying, denser and oilier version. your face doesn't soak it in like Clinique, but I haven't had any break outs of any other horror stories, so for now it'll do. it's 20 bucks for goodness sake.
clean and clear toner vs. neutragena toner: neutragena wins hands down if you want to get the job down right. it's worth the 2 extra bucks.
And yes, I know you're thinking I am shallow, superficial and spoiled with my beauty products. I admit it=P
