I can never think of a title for my entries so we will go without one.
My 4th of July was pretty good, although it didn't feel like the 4th to me. The 4th of July will always be lighting firecrackers with my dad's blowtorch and Princess running around with smoke bombs in her mouth. Ahh. Memories. The night before the 4th, Rachel came over from work and we baked so much stuff...apple crisp and brownies and these chocolate chip bars. Jeremy's friend Ryan came over and they drank and played video games until 4am. On the 4th I watched Jer and his dad play tennis, we went and had dinner at Subway, and then we went to a baseball game. We lost to the Yakima Bears, which I have renamed the Yakima Yaks (it was just too easy). The four people in front of us were for Yakima and twp people to the left of us in the other section were for them too. There was an older guy and an older lady. Everytime one of their players got a strike or ANYTHING on our team the guy would shout out ATTA BOY! Seriously, I'm not too sure how many times he yelled it, but it was very frequent. So we started yelling it and the lady kept looking over and giving us nasty looks. The people behind us were doing it too and when they shut the lights off and started the fireworks after the game the man behind us YELLED ATTA BOY! Very good times. Also, before the game, a bird flew over us and pooped on Jim's leg. That's what he gets for always wanting the aisle seat!
I guess our new store director is starting today and I haven't heard anything nice about her but I'll guess we'll see. I'll just stay safely tucked in my espresso bar and try to look busy. They started a new rule that we have to stay in espresso at all times. It's so boring. The morning shift would be nicer because then they pick what they want to clean. Katie only left me 2 things to do (and the longest time to clean anything is the granita machine at 20 minutes). I guess it's better than being totally slammed and never getting anything done (see: deli).
Well, only a little more than a month before we head to Montana. Not sure how excited I am....
