i probably misread a social situation; big surprise. i don't regret it though. let's break it down.
there is this really cute girl in my hometown who i don't really know. she is apparently really smart, but i've only had a conversation that started with my insistence that funfetti cake is the funnest cake.
i was talking to her and she said that some kid we both know looks like davy jones from the pirates movie.
i asked her if she'd seen it.
she said no, but that she wanted to.
to me this seemed like maybe she wanted me to ask her to go see it. however, i didn't really think this was all that that plausible, because she might be the kind of girl that probably wouldn't want to go on a date/hang out alone with me. i didn't really want to ask her to go see it because it would in all reality probably go badly because i'd be all nervous.
i asked her if she wanted to go see it sometime. but, then i was real afraid it wouldn't be clear that i meant with me.
she said yeah.
then i asked her what time, and she said she couldn't go tonight or tomorrow. it was real convient not to have to go out on a limb and ask if she wanted to see it after that because i won't be here.
Questions to reflect upon: How bad of idea is it to ask a girl that you don't feel at all comfortable with on a date? Did i read the situation incorrectly? If so, was it in that she wanted to hang out with me when she said she wanted to see it or that she didn't want to hang out with me when she said she couldn't see it today or tomorrow? What are all of us doing with our lives?
