(no subject)
Still no word on the promotion...though I do now know that it is a definite thing that they are working on. Really, I get the idea that they are waiting until they find someone to take over in my classroom. There have been several interviews....but none that I would consider for my kids. They were either too quiet/timid, or they had expectations that were too high for this age (as in...they would be a good first grade teacher, but didn't understand age-appropriate curriculum for preK). So, we will see. Hopefully this week will hold some surprises.
The child that I have mentioned here before...with many issues....may be leaving the program. Which is sad and a relief at the same time. I dont like to see him go, because I know he needs routine, and he needs something consistent, and his dad isn't providing that for him. But a relief because I have a dozen other kids who are starting to act out as a result of the chaos he is bringing into the classroom. (I believe that it is due to him because when he has not been there, the others seem to be much more calm.)
We are making the trip home to PA over thanksgiving. I'm getting really excited about seeing family, but have a lot of Christmas prep to get done before then. I can't get that done until after Parent Teacher Conferences this week.
I am anxious to get through this week...we'll be at work until late several nights this week.
