I was so incredibly happy last night, basking in the warmth and light and cable of my newly-re-electrified apartment. I awoke this morning to a lovely hot shower, and got dressed while watching the news report (which reminds me, "STUPID PRESIDENT BUSH! Gah! I hate you!!).
Then, my boss called me at 10:00 this morning to tell me the power is out AGAIN! This time with no warning or apparent reason. I even called the utility to report it, and though they were aware of the outage (thanks to 3000 other people calling in) they had no clue either.
Well, the reason is apparently due to a transformer that blew up, caught fire, caught nearby trees aflame, and forced the evacuation of businesses less than a mile from my home. God only knows why the transformer caught fire, but this is not good.
This cannot be happening! Not a second time...I can't deal with no heat and no power and sleeping on sofas across the city for interminable nights. I would NOT be a good pioneer.
