I am working on my college stuff still, and it sucks. Right when I _really_ needed it not to, MS Access decides to call up activation (it's a valid OEM copy so I have no idea why it doesn't work), now I can't edit my database. I need to for a VB.Net project I was working on, that had really just got into the swing of things.
So I try a few things, to no avail. My teacher will hate me if I use XML files as my data storage (I really don't know why...) and so now I'm doing it in OS X using Core Data, which I am kinda learning as I go along. I got all the parts of my app involving inputting data, relationships, storing and retreiving data and interfaces done in about 15 mins o.o;. Which is excellent compared to the 2 hours it took in VB.Net and Access, especially when you take into account my app is compiled as an Objective-C app so it will be far more effecient than in VB.Net.
Working the Core Data api into my algorthms is a bit harder though, mostly due to the fact I'm still not used to object-oriented coding, and the whole Cocoa / Core Data API depends on object-orientation.
