Yaaay, I'm so glad you liked it! =D I know it was quite different than my usual fics, but I couldn't get the notion out of my head... the contrast between Sephiroth's usual stubborn pride and ego, and the way he completely surrenders to Hotaru (and how, in the end, it's NOT a contradiction at all). And so glad to see that our Psychic Fangirl Twin powers are still in sync. XD I think that there's a lot of "mutual surrender" going on in their relationship, although there's even more to it than that, obviously. One further part I would like to explore is that they're so "powerful" in the rest of their lives that their lover is the only person/place they can be "weak" and vulnerable with... hence why I say Hotaru is really really strong at the same time as I write her sort of clinging to Sephiroth for strength (she has to be so strong all the time, surely she deserves a rest and someone who can be strong for her at times).

I do see your point about that line... the reason I went with my original line is that while, yes, master/slave is not an equal relationship, it's sort of a tradeoff between them. Sephiroth is Hotaru's "slave" but also her "master", which sort of "cancel" each other out and make them equals. That was the idea I was trying to get across, anyway... perhaps I goofed it up. XD I might go back later and fix it.

And sorry this was all Sephiroth POV, but if I write another one, I'll try and make it Hotaru-centric (or, if it's Seph POV, about her). Not sure if I have any inspiration at the moment, but I'm sure I can dig something up (I must admit, I keep getting vaguely tempted to try a darker/non-fluff take on the pairing, although I'm sort of addicted to the fluff so it'll probably never happen XD). Until then, I will be eagerly awaiting your turn at the fanfic wheel of Seph/Hotaru smut. ^^ I can't wait! =D
