When Shuuji reached out to tuck a stray hair behind Mariko's ear
this - this is so completely and utterly adorable i might just SQUEE MYSELF TO DEATH
He thought she was beautiful like this, determined and focused. After all, Akira loved Nobuta because she was Nobuta and not some other girl like Chiaki from class 3-C who didn't look at him seriously like Nobuta did.

He straightened up and accidentally knocked into her, his lips pressed against the corner of her lips.

"Nobuta!" He kept her in sight as he soon caught up with her, grabbing her shoulders and pulling her into an embrace as they skidded to a halt, only to stumble. Akira pulled her close and twisted their bodies over so he would take the brunt of the fall.

Nobuta sniffled lightly before moving up and kissed him clumsily on the chin.
Akira paused and stared at her, not daring to move.
She gave him a soft, crooked smile and stood up. "Let's go back, Akira."
CLUMSY CHIN KISSING ALJDKLAJDLSDDSAAS *flails weakly at you*
He whooped loudly and scrambled to his feet. "Let's run towards the horizon!" He yelled, repeating a line he saw on tv last night about a teacher who was heir to the yakuza and some rich kid that was able to walk out of jail with the help of his friends. He liked that sort of thing, where friends helped each other. Just like Shuuji, Nobuta, and he were doing.

IN CONCLUSION: ANITA USES HEARTS INSTEAD OF WORDS BECAUSE SHE'S JUST WOKEN UP AND HER VOCAB IS VERY SMALL ♥ ♥ ♥

I really think Shuuji/Mariko is really sweet and is my other seekrit het pairing for NwP.
I also love Nobuta's crooked smile because that's how she really is and what she shows Shuuji and Akira.
I think Akira is so natural yet so awkward around Nobuta that their relationship is just so cute to do because there's so much hesitation and clumsiness.
YES. GOKUSEN. I LOVE GOKUSEN. TO PIECES.
