(u)n-sync/film things/OMG PANIC ALAS-DOS NA

I don't understand how I can have writer's block when it comes to school papers (i.e. one 40-page report due in five hours wtf) but can just clickety-click away on irrelevant things like LJ and Facebook. I think my brain has yet to mature to that level of understanding the concept of prioritizing. That, or it's just me being lazy and looking for other things to blame.

...Yeah I think it's the brain maturity thing. It has to be!

But enough about that. So yesterday was one of the most overwhelming events I have ever been involved in. A friend of mine who's doing her film thesis got me as her wardrobe head (yeeeeah I reacted that way too) which meant I had to contact all the talents regarding what to bring come shooting day, look for clothes that the talents didn't have, mix and match light and dark colors (the film was shot in black and white btw) to make them look good on camera, and other shit. I ended up doing more than I was assigned (i.e. PA, make-up (kinda), omg-we-can-save-time-with-this-idea! things, whatevs whatevs) aaand the amazing this is I actually enjoyed the whole experience. I mean yeaaah it was tiring and hella crazy but we pulled it off. And hello NONI BUENCAMINO KAMON. I got to talk to him like, a lot of times (i.e. "coffee po sir noni?", "eto na po wardrobe niyo for the next scene *explain explain*", "*small talk I forgot what about but we did talk about things other than the thesis!!*"). I was genuinely starstruck. I didn't get to take my picture with him though (MEDYO TANGA LANG DIBA) but hopefully he'll be there for the screening. I'd look better than I did yesterday by then anyways. Also, the people I worked with were all made of love and awesome and cookies! Yeheheeeey Castpers!

BUT WTF what scared me was the fact that nothing felt like work the whole time! I mean, oo sige I did feel the pressures of "putangina nawawala yung isang damit and the scene is in like 10 seconds k!!" but generally it felt good. Or maybe that's because it's something totally unrelated to what I'm taking up. BUT STILL natakot ako. Mr. Hoooy-shift-na! started rearing his ugly (well not really, gwapo naman siya in furnezz) head again and I had to control myself from going YES YES YES TAKE ME TAKE ME TAKE ME!!!

So I wrapped the feeling in a piece of paper and threw it away. PANGATLONG SHIFT LANG KASI IF EVER, K. But seriously, the twenty-four hour (literally) shoot was quite an experience. I'm keeping myself open to helping out in future ones so HELLO FILM MEYJERZZZZ make me your slaaaaave. Artista din pwede. I've been told that my hair looks good on camera. Free of charge shampoo sachet lang TF ko!

Anyways, before I go and drive myself crazy cramming, I heard this song on the radio and I don't know the title; the artist used Bob Sinclair's "World Hold On" and turned it into something like "Girl Hold On" (I'm hoping that's the name of the song?) so if anyone knows who sang it, do let me know! Thank youuu :D
