Haha! OK, so I haven't left yet. I had to get up early for the trek to Bellarmine. This is what happens:
I get there, after almost 1 month of waiting to enroll. I was told to come back on the 9th, after the incoming freshman had already had lots of time to register. I schedule my flight later in the day to accomodate this demand. I show up at Bellarmine today, the 9th, only to be told that they can't enroll me until the 16th because that's when they start allowing in the metroversity students. I calmly tell her the story about the 9th and she says, "Well, I don't know who told you that..." and that's when another lady pipes up with, "That was me actually, I was just thinking about the freshman having time to register and not the official day we can take the metros." So Lady 1 looks up the class on her computer and now there are 10 empty spots to which she says, "Oh, there's plenty spots, go ahead and take her now."
SO YAY! I'm all nice and enrolled! They gave me a parking pass. I'm so happy to finally be learning Japanese! Finally finally finally. Coru and I can study together! I don't think that canaryblack is going to take Japanese with me. Sadness.
Gah. I'm so broke. Oh well, I'll come home to a $500 check and that will be nice while it lasts.
I'll be leaving in an hour because gran wants us to get there an hour early. An hour!!! Can you believe that? Blah. But yeah.
GASP! I loooove Hikaru Utada's new song, "Devil Inside"! It takes a while to kinda get used to because it is all in english. I found it by accident on Rhapsody because I didn't know she had released a single already! I love you, Real Rhapsody! I don't know how this song will play to an english audience though. It's... techno? No... electronica? No... I don't know, it's just... well, there's nothing else like it on US radio right now. I still love it.
Let's see, I think I have everything I'm supposed to take. I made a list of food to buy in Minnesota:
peanut butter
bread
some sort of veggie thing (hot dog, burger, etc)
diet soda
Unbeknownst to Suzi, I do plan on sticking to my diet while I'm there. I might buy a little bitty bag of cookies but for the most part I will not go over my calorie limit. *smile* Sorry and stuff.
I'll probably update and stuff from Suzi's house which will be fun!! Her cat will hate me probably and I'll miss my dog omg!!!!!!! As a side note, I took my jacket out of the suitcase to make room for my plush bunny. If I buy things I'm unsure of where they'll go. The only things I plan on buying is manga and Kill Bill 2 and postcards. I'm looking very much forward to the mall trip! How sad is that? Cloquet's unspoiled splendor pales in comparison to spending money I don't have at the mall. Typically me.
