Yesterday, in my quest to become proficient in all types of lasagnaing, I attempted to cook a seafood lasagna with shrimp and white sauce. I'm glad I was the only one there to eat it (but I had help with leftovers later on) as I kind of screwed up the whitesauce part, I foolishly tried to make my own white sauce and did not succeed all that well (small chunks of burnt buttery flour = not good). But it turned out reasonably ok. I think I'll leave the sauce part to Ragu in the future.
Someone complimented me the other day on how I looked like I had lost a lot of weight in the past couple of months. I've been slacking off on exercising in the winter so I'm not sure how. It could be the Janumarch drink-every-day thing, as whiskey has 0 calories and beer has no fat. The only other habits I've changed in the past few months are that I've tried to reduce my restaurant food intake and fast food intake by 75%, mostly so I can save up for some things as its cheaper to cook at home, but eliminating all that transfattyacid is probably helping my butt get smaller. I've also tried to reduce my red meat intake by 90% (but not 100%, as tomorrow I'll be slaughtering a bovine for the sake of coworker relations), that might be helping.
I look forward to February 23rd every year as this is the day that the average high temperature moves above freezing. Not that it really matters as we still have many weeks of ass-cold weather ahead, but I have no life so I tend memorize meteorology facts to fill the void.
