Felt weird walking from home to the bus stop this morning. Probably had something to do with the fact that the street lights were on, the stars out, and my breath steaming visibly, just like when I got home last night. A bit nippy this morning. Strangely enough, the cats were exceedingly cuddly.
10 hour turn-arounds will do that in Winter. They'll do that in Summer too, but not as well, or as often. Fortunately that bullshit ends with this week. I won't be missing that at all.
As it turned out, I left home 10 minutes earlier than I needed to, which got me to the stop just in time for the bus before the one I was planning on catching. This is good, as it gives me time to eat breakfast and get some other stuff done, like posting this, prior to actually starting work.
To my surprise, I did get to see a few water-chickens, who were obviously working on getting the worm. There may have been more of them, but given the lights in the bus, and the dark outside, I could barely see the near edge of the pond. (BTW, it turns out that water-chickens are actually
Eurasian Coots. So ky00t.)
And so it goes...
