Advent Calendar, Day 24

Dec 25, 2024 00:54

Christmas Eve is the last day of the Advent calendar and it is, of course, the largest door, the stained glass window in the church.

We spent some time discussing the fact that the calendar was so "normal" that it probably disappointed my readers since we didn't have much silly to say about it this time. Eventually we got down to business:

Me: Well, we both know what it is.
Austin: "Two people looking at a baby? What's that about?"
Me: It was "Three lads pointing at a star? What's that got to do with Christmas?" [This is referencing a Father Ted bit.]
Austin: Oh, right. I always get that wrong and then think I'll remember it next time.
Me: Interesting that Ted and Dougal were doing what we do. Right before that, they were guessing what was going to be behind the door.
Austin: Hey, you're right.
Me: Anyway... I'm saying Nativity.
Austin: Right, yes, that's my official guess.
Me: If they come out with something crazy I'm going to be really mad.

Austin: [feigning shock] What? Where did THAT come from?

And that's the end of my 2024 Richard Sellmer Advent Calendar. Thanks for following along with me again and Merry Christmas!
