Well, the damage to my bank account seems to be minimal after spending the past weeks in a gambling frenzy. Which is why it's minimal, I won so much while we were in Las Vegas that the money I've been spending playing poker down at Ralph's was mostly what I had left over. Odd that we were playing for money to begin with, I thought they favored kitten poker down there. There was that one stock I sold for money to play with in Las Vegas, but it was doing poorly in the market. Of course now it's doing very well and I'd have to pay almost double what I originally invested to get it back.
Then there's the money I paid Theresa just before we went to Las Vegas. Well, I certainly hope she doesn't think she's getting a paycheck for the next couple of weeks. I paid her already. Speaking of Theresa, where is she, anyway?
At least Giles kept the shop running in between researching money making food machines for the shop and those spells he had Willow do. I'm still not sure why anyone thought it was a good idea to ensoul all the vampires and activate the potential slayers. If all of the vampires are running around acting crazy and no longer feeding off of people, then what do we need extra slayers for? Buffy's been handling the other demons and the occasional apocalypse by herself for years now. Not to mention Faith's in LA if Buffy needs her, and Joan's usually available for back-up. Now we'll just have all of these girls running around demanding more of Giles' time and cluttering up the shop reading his books. Well, I suppose if he really is serious about trying this relationship with me it will be good practice if we ever decide to have children.
School has started and we haven't even had our annual Back To School sale yet. I think we should have an extra long sale this year to make up for the loss in profits these past weeks. I've printed out fliers from my computer and as soon as Theresa shows back up I plan to have her hand them out on the high school campus. Maybe I can get one of these new slayers to go nail some up at the college campus as well.
Now if I could just figure out what to do with this nacho machine Giles ordered. We could maybe set it up outside of the shop and have one of the new slayers collect the money for it. We could always sell the machine back to the company it came from, I suppose. Or maybe Xander would like to purchase it from us, he likes cheese.
