I don't know how this happened, but when I opened the shop this morning I was going about my business as usual; you know, counting the money, making sure the shelves were stocked, letting the plant out of Buffy's training room. Except when I opened the door to let it out? It wasn't in there. I haven't seen it open doors by itself so I went inside to investigate. Do you know what I found? Not one, not two, but THREE of those damn bunnies!! Hippity hopping all over the place, and they came at me when they saw me! Noses twitching, and beady eyes looking all murderously at me!
*shudders*
Well, before I saw them I saw a scorch mark on one of Buffy's mats in there. Like the kind of mark some portals make or what you'd get if you burned some leaves for a short time. And bells, there were bells by it, too. Then one of those furry creatures came hopping out from underneath one of the benches and I ran out and locked the door behind me. I think the plant was trying to eat dinner and the bunnies from whatever place it gets them from got smart. I think they all waited and then swarmed the plant when it opened the portal. Poor little plant, he never had a chance with all of those evil bunnies attacking it! It must've eaten at least a few before they finally took it down and ate it.
When Giles comes in this afternoon I'll make him go deliver some justice on the remaining bunnies. Until then I'm not going back in there. I can hear them scratching on the door when I get close to it, just wanting to hop all over my vulnerable flesh! I suppose we'll have to tell the little pixie girl that her plant has been murdered now. At least it died an honorable death fighting off those horrible creatures.
