"What’s he doing buying his own coffee anyway?" Jack wondered, taking the opportunity to dive and grab a colourful sprinkles donut from the box in Theo’s lap. "Can’t he just get one of his dozens of butlers to buy it for him?"

Cesc who had recovered now from his regret at not having actually spoken to his football hero, was back to his usual mischievous self and took his seat between his two friends on the sofa. "He probably saw me from outside the window and realized I was the love of his life so he decided to come in and use the coffee as an excuse to talk to me."

Jack laughed and took a bite of his donut, "Yeah right! And then he realized you were so NOT the love of his life so he decided to just order a coffee to go and get the hell out of there!" he grinned and elbowed Cesc on the arm.

Theo joined in, "Yeah! I can see him running away now!" he laughed elbowing Cesc on the other side.

Cesc good naturedly elbowed them right back. "I’ll have you know the reason he was in such a rush to go is because as soon as he saw me he suddenly remembered he had to go pick up our engagement rings from the jewelers."

"Engagement rings? Yeah right! More like donut rings!" Theo laughed and slapped Jack’s hand over Cesc’s head.

"You greedy plonker!" Jack jibed.

"You greedy plonker!" His partner in crime jibed.

"Besides, Cesc don’t strike me as the faithful type." Jack continued.

"Nah, he’s gonna dump poor Robin sooner or later." Theo added.

"He wouldn’t be loyal to his man." Jack shook his head.

"He’ll move on as soon as the next rich bitch comes along." Theo nodded sadly, throwing Jack a sly look.

"Goldigga!" They said at the same time, slapping hands again and grinning.

"You guys!" Cesc said in mock horror, then his mischievous tone returned. "I’m hurt. You think if I got Robin van Persie I wouldn’t even wait till after the wedding to break up with him? …That wedding cake ain’t gonna eat itself!"

Jack and Theo howled with laughter.

"Like I said, you greedy plonker!" Jack managed between fits of laughter.

Theo’s laughter was actually moving the sofa slightly, "That’s why Robin’s getting him eddilable- ah!- edible! donut engagement rings! It’s to keep him interested!"

"Hardy haa ha." Cesc said but he was grinning and waited until they’d both calmed down before saying, "Well anyway you’re both invited to the wedding. No need to bring presents from the charity shop."

"I’ll buy you a box of donuts." Jack chipped in.

"I wasn’t gonna get you anything anyway." Theo’s two cents, "Heck you’re the one marrying the mega rich football star, I should be getting stuff off you!"

"I’m sure Robin would be delighted to give you his pocket change." Cesc said smoothly, not missing a beat. "You could even buy your own flat with it and stop crashing at our place!"

Theo gave them both a look. "Not that we don’t love having you stay with us." Cesc said hastily and gave his friend a hug which quickly made everything alright again.

"Well," Jack yawned , "Dunno about you guys but I’m getting sleepy."

"Me too." Theo confessed and then turned to Cesc. "All this talk of your fantasy hubby has tired us out."

Cesc smiled, "Guess I’ll hit the sack too."

After brushing their teeth and then Theo insisting he was suddenly hungry, temping the other two to stay up with him with bribes of the donuts he had hidden earlier, and then all three of them having to brush their teeth all over again, they finally lay in their respective beds in the large bedroom sometime after midnight. A little while later Jacks quiet snoring could be heard, giving away his escape to dreamland.

"Cesc?" Theo whispered.

"Yeah?"

"Are you sleep?"

"Obviously not."

"…I was thinking, you saw him yesterday on the bus, right?"

"Yeah…"

" And then you saw him again today too, getting his own coffee at the shop."
Own coffee, Cesc smiled into the dark. "What’s your point?"

"Well if he’s catching the local bus and walking it to the shop to buy his own coffee, wouldn’t that kinda suggest that he lives around here?"

"I guess so…" Cesc said thoughtfully.

"And," Theo added carefully, "If he liked the coffee then…maybe he’ll come back to the shop?"

"You think so?" Cesc suddenly shuffled and turned to face Theo on the next bed. Jack muttered something about a green dinosaur in his sleep and they hushed their voices back down to a low whisper.

"Well I’ve tried your coffee before and I think it’s good."

Cesc gazed at his friend for a moment, "Thanks Theo."

Theo smiled at Cesc in the dark. "Goodnight Cesc." He whispered and reached out to touch Cesc’s hand.

Cesc gave his hand a gentle squeeze and allowed him to draw it back under the covers. "Goodnight Theo."

And soon after that Theo was sleep too leaving Cesc to his thoughts.

What would he do if The Robin van Persie decided to show up at the coffee shop again? He blushed at the idea and was glad the other two were sleep and that it was dark. They’d only been joking about it earlier but if they’d been seriously discussing Cesc’s love life, or lack of it, Cesc was sure he would turn as red as a beetroot. He yawned and decided to leave thoughts of Robin van Persie for a better rested brain to mull over tomorrow and before he knew it, he too was soon happily dreaming.

Authors note: Hope you enjoyed that my dears! ^^ And as always your beautiful comments are deeply appreciated and loved so please don't be shy. Sadly I fear inspiration for this quirky little story might shrivel up and die if a certain Captain Adorkable has a not so adorable move to a certain club. Here's hoping the talented Mr Wenger is charming enough to keep the skipper a gooner and I'll still have my inspiration come the 2011/2012 season. ;-)
