Popiah Dinner Night

Feb 16, 2008 23:37

Good... 11pm, folks.

Just back from dinner at my Grandma's, and we had popiah (spring roll) this evening. It isn't something that we've had for quite a while. I still remember that, years ago, we would have such gatherings during the New Year season. There would be this large table filled full with the popiah stuffings and lots and lots of relatives plus family friends coming over for a MEGA renuion.

Today, however, we had only the kaki nang ('people belonging to us', in dialect).

Pictures coming up:

Firstly, place all of the ingredients that you like in the middle of the flour-skin.

Next, roll and wrap it up like how you do a burrito. There! a popiah!

People-shots...

Momo!

Happy birthday, dear...

Using my cam's 'candle mode '.

Just so that you know: It's green tea cake.
(What's up with the 'Cute Con-Corgi'? Couldn't thing of anything doggish starting with 'C', so I'd gone with con-corgi, implying that Momo isn't a Corgi. He's a Pomeranian, should you be interested.)

And that's all!

P.S. Realised that this is the first time I'm using the 'family' tag. Wow.
