The Entry That Took Forever X.X
My eyes are still dry from last night. Stupid eye drops >.< It's kinda irritating.
Anyways, today wasn't really all that bad for my usual DEATH BY BOREDOM FRIDAYS at school. Spend only a little bit of time with a friend that went ninja on my while I was re-reading Megatokyo on in the computer lab. I think he probably sat there for maybe 20 minutes or so before he actually said something to me. XD You can really tell what the state of my brain was like there XD;;
It was fun. We just talked about games and stuff. Him about Arkham Asylum and me mostly about KH (cause I have way too many non-gamer friends IRL T.T). Not to mention I enlightened him to the knowledge that they don't make PS3s with backwards compatibility anymore and he was all "FUCKNOWAI!" when he looked it up XD People need to believe me more for these things, really XD

But I know he's played theeeeemmm. We had a conversation in first semester where he kinda believed that Shinies were available in RBY. No pressure or anything, just a long-time Poke-geek mentally poiting and laughing at you and your silly! XD
It was a good time spent ^^ He's even seen the secret BBS movie from KHII:FM, and he also lawled when I said that there were ICE CREAM POWER-UPS IN BBS.

I dunno what couldn't be said about Carly XD She's lulzy, and awesome, and pretty realistic if you even bother to compare her to like, yourself XD She's a good connection to the audience, since she's a plain jane; not overly beautiful and not with huge assets like so many other female Anime characters. Not to mention that she ends up scoring with Mister I'm-Too-Obsessed-With-Yuusei and saves him [not really in the conventional sense/shou-jo sense, but still, sort of! XD]
Anyways... kinda lame reasons as to why I like her so much. I guess I can sort of relate to her in a strange world that doesn't involve card games that can save the world? XD Oh well. She's just a character who brings in fun in a different sort of way I suppose ^^ She's an original <3

Uh.... errr... derp? XD
Again I'll start this off with IDUNNO XD I've always sort of started by RSE games with a Poochyena but it wasn't ever a part of my 'final team.' I think it was sort of influences by GSC and there being only a minimal amount of Dark-types that were available and only available later in the game, I think my initial thing was "DAAARRRKKKK! Catchit catchit catchit catchit! >.<" XD
Didn't come back until later last year when I actually started collecting stuff and strangely got attached to him through someone's collection post methinks. He just looked cute <3
Or it could have been one of the two plushies of Poochy, of which looks almost as derpy as the other now that I actually own it and can see it better (least it looks like it has better stitching? XD;;)
BUT, I am sort of continuing my collecting journey with a custom made Poochy-Pokedoll! That I probably won't see for about a year XD;;;

I R A LATE BLOOMER INTO THIS but I dun care. <3 Heart-warmingly gorgeous series that makes less and less sense with each new game that comes out. But it's so loveable and great to see a beautiful series that includes the amazing of Disney and the amazing of SE in comparison to all the blood, guts, guns, zombies, aliens, and whatever else shit that floats around these days, AND still have immense popuarity. <3 Nomura's cracked-up mind has created something marvelous <3

I guess I've been R-Peeng for the past four/five years? Not nearly as much as other people have I guess *shrugs*
Started out attempting to RP on Subeta. First it was through the forums, but those moved by at the speed of SPEED XD Then I tried one-on-one and managed to click with one chick before her account got frozen XD THEN I started seeing adverts on there for Forum!Pokemon RPs. That's basically where I got my start. *nods*
On the forums it started out being very basic style. VERY minimal effort was really required for much, including character applications and hell, even moderator activity. Bare bones of an RP, but not bad for a start.
Through it I managed to find some topsites to another board that effectively was made into my home for several months (which also included a hiatus ^^;;) where I oh so wonderfully enjoyed the workings of being a mod and having my feet kissed too XD, and where the actual RP was still a very basic Pokemon RP (go to route, capture, train, challenge Gym Leaders, etc.), but had a bit more in terms of substance and effort put into than the previous places I went to.
From there I managed to link up to more sites, with *GASP* MOAR SUBSTANCE
Let it be known that Bun then learned that MOAR SUBSTANCE = MOAR SHIT-DRAMA @.@
Larger scaled game. Less linear than before. Essentially if Game Freak decided to make a Pokemon MMO THAT THEY SHOULD IF THEY KNOW WHAT'S GOOD FOR THEM XO then the next couple of forums and places I went to were like that XD My shyness was showing though, but I managed to make a couple of friends and meet some awesome people despite drama and stuff. Mostly traveled to other forums to play with them too. Modded at a couple. Admined on one where the owner decided to be a dick and go "GRAPHICS R MOAR IMPORTANT THAN THE ACTUAL GAME!!!111!" Dear God I shit you not. That was his priorities list. >.< Even though there was a mod team, I was the only major thing keeping that place alive. Grand team to work with; essentially a bunch of lazyasses (and this coming from me is something <.<) including one known hypocritical douche whose ass I should have stomped on *sighs*
Fast forward a while and through advertising I managed to find a Digimon forum that I'm pseudo-hiatus on now. Closest thing to having an actual RP home; the same sort of feeling I had with one of the first Pokemon forums I was in. It was new, shiny. I'd never been in a Digimon RP before, let alone seen one that was actually alive XD So I was excited. It wasn't so bad.
Fast forward a two and a half years, and the luster? Startin' to wear a bit. It's still fun, believe me, because Digimon RPs aren't exactly always the easiest thing in the world to find, let alone one that has style and good substance. But I've developed a very strong love/hate relationship with that place. I love it because there is freedom in choices and balance in terms of canon material (you get your Armour, Spirits and Matrix/Bio-Merge). I hate it because I often feel that, despite it being a smaller RP for activity, people there are a little... clique-ish? Their good folks and all and I love to talk to them when they actually, you know, converse with me *my shyness is showing again >.< ARGH!* But there's something that always kinda bugged me about it. I fit in, but I didn't really really feel like I fit in though, you know? The other thing too was the static, black-and-white plot. There's one big bad, and you are supposed to either choose to be against the big bad or for them. Good versus evil in its basic form.
Which, totally sets up for Mary Sues and Hero Sues ABOUND @.@ *headdesks*
So two-something years ago, I moved from Pokemon RPs to Digimon RPs and now it's time to try something new. Dabbing into LJ RPs lately, which is something of a difference for me, since the great grand majority of these places do canon characters whereas I've only played with characters from the ground up in my mind. Personally, I don't care. Refreshing it will be to try something new afterall. I'm stumbling around though. I'm still very... very fresh? XD;; I know how these places operate, but don't want to ruin anything for anyone, so I'm taking it slow and steady so hopefully I don't trip over my own feet ^^;; Not saying that I'm looking at it at a perfectionist's view, but I believe that there is something in everyone's mind that will go "We're doing this right" the first time that they do it.
To be frank though, I kinda want to learn. I've stalked and looked at enough places to know the workings of it. I'm currently in a game right now too! ^^ But there's something in starting fresh, learning something new that's a lot more like a talent or something that can be refined over a place like the internet, where there will be people who will put you down, but also those that could be willing to help, or at least enjoy themselves not at another's expense. XD
Because in all honesty, everyone's got to start somewhere right? When trying something new. And there's nothing more like learning something new or different to give elitism a good swift kick in the ass and bring everything back into perspective.
Everyone makes mistakes. Everyone has to start somewhere. And no one's good at it right off the bat.
For now, though, I think I'm comfortable at the game I'm at. Taking it slowly, and I feel like I'm not really niche-ing into it as easily as some others might. But I'm learning, and everyone there is nice and enjoyable, and right now I think that's all I could ask for. ^^ Things will happen, maybe not as fast as others or as I would like them too, but the opportunities will come. Sometimes you have to wait for them to come knocking as opposed to bashing down a door <3
I am, though, looking at other games XD;; I wouldn't mind another place to try and see and have fun with. I'm still a little bit nervous about canon characters, but I'm sure it will disappear over time, or I'll find one that I can really connect with. Nothing will happen right away; that I've always known.
Still, I want to find another place to maybe strut around with my Namine or maybe even Xion a bit more. dear_mun tempts the living crap out of me to make a BBS character (Aqua, Isa or even Ventus for the hilarity he would bring), but I'd prefer to know that canon first and I really want to stick to my guns about the spoilers this time :3
There's another place I've seen with a small Digimon cast, but it could get interesting AND I'm tempted to try for Renamon (because I've always found the canon!Rena to be awesome~ <3) but I might watch it for a bit to see how things go. I'd also need to watch the whole of Tamers again since it's been a while since I've laid eyes on my favourite season and missed a couple of episodes in the Digital World episodes. ^^;;;
I'd like to try for someone from 5Ds since it's a series that I'm most familiar with, even though Yliaster still confuses the living crap out of me @.@ but I'm not too entirely sure about it since cast sizes seem to be spread apart and vary game to game. Chances are I'd go for someone like Carly or Ruka or something, even though Yuusei coooooould potentially be interesting XD Right now though, the fandom's taken a back seat in my mind since I haven't watched an episode in weeks/few months? (ever since Crashtown started) So who knows. We'll see ^^
