DARKNESS FALLS CH.2
Wind started to blow gently and a pair of red eyes opened suddenly. The owner of the eyes rose his gaze and stared at the darkness surrounding him. He could see his underlings sitting there waiting for his every demand. His hands grabbed tighter the arms of the chair like throne where he was staying and his lips formed a smirk showing his sharp teeth.
Finally, the hunter revealed himself after some absence and he even was closer to the prince. Yes, he was satisfied now that he knew the hunter’s location because he would be able to get rid of him, and humans would no longer have protection.
“Lord Yunho , we lost a subordinate.” a voice echoed in that dark room announcing the prince about their loss.
“Yes. Such a bad thing… isn’t it?” Yunho said in a cold tone which showed no emotion known as care. There was a rustle in the pitch black meaning that the others scoffed about their dead companion. Of course, they couldn’t share common things such as strong emotions, only hunger. And oh boy, how hungry they were now.
The prince sensed the anxiety which they were emanating in the air, Yunho felt their hunger, their thirst for blood, and somehow that sensation had been given to him too.
“Need him very much at this moment.” Yunho murmured to himself and licked his lips.

“Mission accomplished, leader.” A voice rang in the Changmin’s ear. While still jumping on the rooftops of the blocks he moved his hand to his ear and turned on the microphone.
“What’s the next target?” Changmin asked. There was a silence at the other line and soon to be followed by a huge sigh.
“Come on Changmin, the sun will rise up any moment and there won’t be any attacks.” The male voice said.
“Where are the others? They returned in safety?” Changmin asked and landed on the ground in a crouched position.
“Yeah, they returned unharmed.”
“That’s good to hear, Junsu. Tell the others to take a good rest for tomorrow night.”
“You too Changmin. You haven’t slept for days!” Junsu almost yelled in his ear.
“Don’t need it.” Changmin mumbled and turned off the frequency. With that, the conversation ended.
Changmin continued his run through the huge labyrinth of streets of the great town. He rose his gaze and saw that indeed the sky was turning shades of pink meaning that the sun would rise up in any moment.
For unknown reasons his mind drifted back at the person from earlier which he saved. The man with the dark black hair. At least she got the message as the other ones did. He hoped that he would reconsider it and not laugh at it.
~O~
Changmin opened the door of his old apartment. A smile tugged on his lips as the image of his own home entered his view. But even with the smile, a sigh escaped his lips. Too bad that it would be the last time he would see this house. Too bad for him that he would have to burn it so any trace of him would disappear. This would have to be his last day to stay in that apartment before he would leave to go to the next city which was waiting for him.
Another sigh escaped his lips as he closed the door behind him with a small click. He stood for a while against it, memories of that night still ravishing his tired mind. There have been 49 attacks that night. It amazed him how the number grew just within three days. It appeared that those bloody creatures were multiplying fast and certainly. They sure weren’t loosing precious time as Changmin would say.
After he locked the door four times like he would usually do, he straightened and threw his gear in a far corner, and with that- far away from his sight. Then, with slow moves like the ones of an old man, he went to his bedroom where a cold bed was there waiting for him. Sending a glance at the window from the kitchen he noticed that the sun still didn’t rose up, so there were still a few minutes left but until then, he didn’t have to worry about it. The humans were safe, this was more important.
He walked towards the bed and took a sit on it. Without another glance towards the open window which was next to the bed, he leaned on his back. He stared at the ceiling for a few seconds, trying to put order in his thoughts. Which in his consideration, it was a very difficult thing to do. Scooping higher and higher, his head finally reached the pillow and, with that he took a better position in his bed.
It hurt, every part, every limp of his body ached because of the exhaustion which he had been pulled through. And now that… the sun was rising, it would hurt even more. He shook his head in annoyance.
He promised himself that he would never think about his other part again. But how was that possible? The other part coexisted with him. It was part of him. It was him.
Turning his body to the window he let his eyes fell on the city which would awake in any minute and get ready for a new day of work. To get ready for a new day of life.
He sighed. He wanted a life too.
Changmin's hands searched for the second pillow and when they found it, they grabbed it and pulled it in front of him. Changmin let a sigh and hugged it tight at his chest. His mind drifting this time to a certain someone. After all, he had a life with that someone. If he would leave this city, then that meant that he would have to leave that person behind too. Another pain came to him, this time from his chest.

How fool he has been. To let his emotions to take over him when he knew that no future was for him because of his night job. But it will pass, he will leave everything behind with this city and he will never have to think about it, ever again.
He blinked for a few times, maybe a good sleep will do him good and help him release of all that tension. It was day, he didn’t have to worry about people getting hurt. It would be ok… It was day…
Before he knew it, Changmin darted off to sleep quickly because of the fatigue, unaware of what was about to happen next.
The curtains of the window flipped because of the sudden blowing wind. It blew strong and the room filled with cold air. Changmin shivered at this but he just moved a little in his sleep and pulled unconscious the blanket over him.
Feet pressed gently on the edge of the window. Black clothing flipped in the cold air as the person landed not being detected by the sleeping young man. The person smirked at the sight of Changmin sleeping quietly in his bed and not moving at all.
Then, with slow moves as if he was floating in air the other man moved next to the bed, and with that, next to the Changmin. How beautiful the young man seemed for that person. So innocent, so perfect… so delicious. It made its senses go wild just laying there and staring at him.
Licking his lips, the person dressed in black leaned forward towards Changmin’s exposed neck. The smell of that young man, that beautiful tanned skin, it… it just mesmerized the poor person.
Still smirking, the person leaned forward and finally, touched the neck of Changmin, bitting there.
Before the person would do anything else, Changmin already straightened and pulled the person by the shirt with his left hand and pointed a dagger with his right hand at the other one’s neck.
“Who the hell do you think you are?” Are you one of them?” Changmin asked angry, his eyes shining in the dark because of rage. The person let out a small laugh and grabbed Changmin by the hand pulling itself closer to Changmin and towards the light.
“It’s me.” the person whispered slowly.
Chagnmin startled at the voice and let his right hand down hiding the dagger out of the other one’s sight. Then, he let go of the shirt too and sighed a little.
“Yunho, how in the hell did you get inside?” Chagnmin asked the other man beside him.
" I don't know maybe becuse some idiot left his window wide open for people to come in ." Yunho said sarcasticly.
" Well it's not like I mean to I was just tired so I forgot ." Changmin repiled back .
" Anyways why are you here you know that our love is forbidden and want if the night council finds that their prince is in love with a vampire slayer , you and I will be killed on the spot if they found out " Changmin said looking into yunho's eyes with tears not daring to fall freely.
" ..... changminnie ... I know but I can't help to fall in love with you you are everything to me it doesn't matter if our love is forbidden and if the council finds out then shall be it I will not let you die I shall always protect you so no more crying okay." Yunho said while wipping the tears from changminnie's eyes.
" ....yunho...i.. i love so much that it hurts "
" I know I know I llove you too that it hurts too" Yunho lifted changmin by the chin and they kiss him passionatly. Their kiss lasted for a minute that almost seem like forever.
" Know matter what will hapen I shall always love you to no end ans I shall protect you always" Yunho said hugging his younger lover clser to him.
" I'm not a child anymore but I shall always remeber what you said to me so you promise me okay?" Chagnmin said looking into his lover's dark eyes.
" I promise" Yunho whisphers into his lover's ear. " I shall always promise you that"
