Regentropfen

It rained today for the first day in a very long time. I'm in a very good mood, because long periods of sunshine make me depressed, it seems. I went to see Pirates 2 last night, and although the plot was kind of screwy, I liked it. [spoiler, don't read untill end of parintheses, unless you've seen it: especially the part where Kira Knightley kissed Jonny, OMFG, I about died...so hot!!] Anyway, the night before last, I was the last one out of the store, at abour 1 AM. I got in my car, turned it on, and the alarm went off. I ran up to the door, thinking I'd left it unlocked after setting the alarm (which will make it go off), but I hadn't, so (stupidly) I went inside. I ran to the backroom to turn off the alarm, and I couldn't. The motion detectors were going off, saying there was 'interior motion: Game Crazy' and 'interior motion: Front doors, North'. SOMEONE WAS IN THE FUCKING STORE!! I locked myself in the backroom and promptly freaked out. The alarm was absolutely deafening, and I could barely think. Finally, whoever was in the store had left, or was hiding, and I was able to turn off the alarm. (You can't turn it off unless everyone in the store is standing still, or the motion detectors go off). I started to cry because the phone in the backroom doesn't really work, and I was too scared to go up front and use that phone, because I wasn't sure wether or not i was alone. I looked allover for the phone number to the alarm company, and I couldn't find it. So I called my mom. She answered, thank God, and tried to calm me down. Dad was dressed and out the door before I'd even finished telling mom what was going on, since we all know how over protective he is. Mom told me to call the police, since I couldn't get ahold of the alarm people, so I did. The dispatcher told me not to hang up, but as I mentioned, the bloody phone didn't work, so I ended up hanging up on her. I heard a banging at the front door, and decided to leave the backroom, hoping it was dad. I was scared SHITLESS walking through that store. I said, "if anyone is in here, take what you want, I don't want anything to do with you." Dad was holding a two-foot long flashlight/nightstick, standing with a cop at the front door. I let them in, and they both did a walk around. Dad looked ready to kill. There was no one in the store, so I thanked the cop and he left. Finally, ten minutes after the alarm went off, the alarm company called. I told them what had happened, and they said according to the alarm, there had probably been two people in the store, and they must have been hiding since before we'd closed. So finally, at 1:30 AM, I got to go home. Dad followed me home and made sure I got into my apartment, and said he was going to talk to his friend about getting me a job at New Seasons. I was really afraid he was going to call my boss and scream at him for having me there that late alone, but he didn't. Phew.
