- I've got a meeting at noon to finalize stuff for the class that I'm helping to teach this semester: "Discussions on Science and Public Policy: Environmental Sustainability." It will be incredible.
- Big plans for cleaning today. Clean room, clean bathroom, clean computer files. We'll see how that goes.
- I had Alli give me a sewing lesson yesterday and fixed all the clothes I've torn up over the past year. About a third of my wardrobe was affected because I'm ridiculous and tear clothes up all the time by biking, etc.
- I got chives, mint and cilantro to plant in pots and grow this year. Mint and chives will be fine, but cilantro might not work out because it likes full sun and lots of soil (a lot more than will be in the pot). It's an experiment.
- Worm castings from a worm farm really are the best fertilizer ever. I put some on a few of my plants and they EXPLODED.
- I got a new suit and a laptop for Christmas this year. I'm looking fly and internetting all over the place now.
- I might start a blog with Pat for random discussions and/or musings on sustainability topics. I already wrote the first entry, which might go up on here at some point too.
- This semester is going to be the shit. I don't have class one Tues/Thurs, which of course means I have class for 5 hours straight Mon/Wed/Fri. I think it's going to work well, actually. There's also tons of other cool stuff going on that I won't bore you guys with; Building Dashboard grant stuff, a statewide student sustainability conference, the RMI visit, and an energy summit featuring T. Boone Pickens.
- I met with the Chief Sustainability Officer for the Centers for Disease Control over break. It was awesome. I was planning on talking to her for half an hour and we ended up going over two hours. I want her job.
What environmental questions do you all have? What could I blog about? I'd love to hear some ideas from you guys if you have any thoughts.
