Squirrels!
I went bike-riding in Grant Park during my lunch break today. It's a nice break in the middle of the day to get outside and get some exercise. Today I stopped briefly to get a closer look at a bird, foolishly unaware of the danger I was putting myself in.
Immediately some of the squirrels around me took notice, and began hopping toward me. I didn't think much of it, since I've always known squirrels to keep their distance. Not Grant Park Squirrels.
I found it amusing that they were getting so close. So, I got out my phone to take some pictures. I would never be foolish enough to touch one (plague, rabies, etc.), but they generally don't get that close, right?
By the time this guy was climbing up my front tire, with several more surrounding me, I really started getting worried. Thankfully, a few panicky movements was enough to scare them off. For now.
