I had just been an agent for a year, my main work was investigating suspicious deaths in Sim City.
Me and my partner got sent out to an alley where two junkies had been found dead. It is still today the bloodiest crimescene I've ever seen.
My partner was older than me, and had been doing this job for over twenty years. He quickly dismissed it as a trip gone wrong, by themselves or a third junky. He thought we should hand it over to the police, two homeless junkies that nobody would miss weren't important enough for the SFBI.
But I had a different hunch, and wanted to be sure, so I stayed behind and investigated the scene further.
I found an unusual amount of hair all over the alley.
Taking it back to the lab, it came out positive for wolf hair. That a wolf had gotten into the city was unlikely, but not impossible. But to do the damage that I saw on that scene, it needed to be a whole pack, and that would have gotten noticed even in the more remote parts of town.
I've had some.. experiences.. with the unusual, and started to research. I had to be sure before I laid out my theory for the boss.
When I had enough facts I did. He called me crazy, took me off the case, off the field and put me in a small room with three years worth of paperwork.
I shouldn't have come as a surprise, that this one little word would ruin my career. Or so I thought it had..
Until six months later, when my boss saw it with his own eyes one night when he came home from work.
It was the first documented case where it had actually gotten into an apartment and killed someone. That someone was my boss' wife.
He knew that nobody would believe him, they would blame it on post traumatic stress, so he brought me back in. He put me alone on the case, and told me not to stop looking until I've found this thing..
Bo: And I haven't..
The sun had begun setting when Bo stopped talking.
Werewolves? Saga didn't know what to say. He was crazy, right? Or it was some very well planned joke, though agent Bargeld didn't seem to be the joking kind. She hadn't even seen him smile once.
So he must be crazy. He was crazy.
Saga: So.. how.. how do you know it's what killed Shakeela Rothstein?
She felt uncomfortable being all alone in a room with a clearly crazy man, she didn't want to upset him.
She flinched when he quickly turned around and stomped towards the desk.
He pulled two pictures out from under some papers.
Bo: Here. I found these tracks on the riverbank on the finding site.
She looked up at him, spoke carefully.
Saga: The forests are full of tracks like that..
Bo: I don't know what kind of animals you have around here sheriff, but I only know one that walks on two legs.
Saga: I don't.. I.. I think I need some time to process this.
Bo: You have it, I'm going back to my hotel.
He left the office, leaving Saga to stare at the pictures on the desk.
Bo: You..
Cerium: Yes, me.
Bo: I'm not really in the mood for you.
Cerium: I remember the days when you used to like my little visits Bobby.
Cerium: So you told the sheriff and she didn't believe you.
Bo: She will, eventually.
Cerium: So you need my help then.
She walked towards him, almost with snakelike movements.
Cerium: Maybe I could pay the little sheriff a visit, talk to her for you..
Cerium: .. you know how convincing I can be.
Bo: I don't want your help!
He thrusted his elbow into her chest.
And she vanished, only leaving her laughter echoing in his head.

Saga was lying in the bath when she heard the knock on the door.
Saga: Oh for the love of.. what now..
Saga: Derek..
Derek: I'm sorry I didn't call your after our date.
Saga: Look, Derek.. that's old now. You don't have to apologize. It just wasn't meant to happen between us.
Derek: Well, I wouldn't say.. we don't know that..
Saga: No, I do know that. I don't have time for a relationship right now. This thing.. my job.. I don't even have time to take proper baths apparantly.
Derek: But when I saw you today, at the funeral..
A scream cut through his words and bounced between the houses.
He spun around, gazing out over the street.
Derek: What was that?!
Saga: I don't know, but it didn't sound good.
Saga ran back inside and grabbed her gun. She always had it on the bureau by the door, so she could grab it quickly on her way out to emergancies.
Saga: Come on!
Derek: But, your clothes..
Derek: Damnit.
Two houses down, Ife Gallagher was sitting on the ground by a knocked over trash can, with her husband Marty's arms around her.
Saga fell to her bare knees in front of them.
Saga: What happened?
Ife: I got.. I was taking out the trash.. I got knocked over by.. something..
She was shaking and stuttering and she had a fresh bleeding cut over her nose.
Saga: What was it?
Ife: I don't know! Some kind of.. animal. I didn't see.. But it was so big. It was.. some kind of monster.
Marty: There there honey, it's allright.
Ife: I got so scared!
Marty: It was probably just a big dog. It's gone now.. it's allright love.
Saga: Yeah, a big dog..
Derek: A monster dog?
Saga stood up again.
She couldn't believe. She wouldn't believe it.
She absolutely refused to believe that.
