This is what happens when you do your own Creative Writing. It is actually reasonably good.
Cast in the Shadows
I discovered you one day.
On this day you were nobody,
Cast in the shadows of phenomena.
But this is why I loved you,
Because I was nobody too.
Then you overcame your shadows
Took advantage of this sensation,
And cast yourself into the rising fame.
From then on, you were not the same.
You say that you don’t need me now
Because you’re sure you can get anyone you want.
But honey, take a moment and let out some air,
Who was it that brought you into the light?
You’ve floated to the top, yet you do not even belong.
Now I’m too small for you to see
And now you’re just too much for me
Slowly I must turn my eyes,
And forget about the chances that I lost.
Now you seem like you are somebody,
And I am still cast in the shadows.
I guess this is what breaks my heart.
But it is your choice,
I’m sure you would rather have this recognition than have me.
I want no hard feelings, I wish you the best of luck
To find yourself somebody.
But when you realize that no one’s there,
That the people do not worship you,
Remember that I loved you when you were nobody.
