Okay, the most exciting thing in this ep? House of the Rising Sun by The Animals is finally Supernatural canon. That was a totally a shout-out to Elle. XD *sticks
El Sol Naciente on to re-read list.*
I have to say, I didn't really understand why they chose to do an episode that surrounded the victim rather than the boys, especially since she seemed to have no overall importance, and there has been so much build-up of the relationship between the boys in recent episodes. However, after the "big reveal," it became clear why they chose this particular format ...anyway, that's a very roundabout way of saying that I didn't really like this episode until the very end. And even then it felt somewhat ...lacking.
I feel like they didn't really give us anything new in this ep. I mean, we already know that Sam is more sympathetic toward lost souls than Dean, because Dean sees things in black and white, while Sam sees shades of grey, yaddayadda. About the most interesting thing here was the concept that some ghosts don't know that they're dead, which opens up some interesting possibilities for casefic stories, but, you know, whatever, nothing really exciting there, either.
Did anyone else notice that Jared seemed like he had a cold right around the middle of the episode? I'm feeling kind of pathetic for recognizing that his voice sounded stuffy. :P
Anyway, I'm REALLY EXCITED for next week, because WEREWOLVES OMG, which is almost as good as ZOMBIES. XD

missyjack was kind enough to post a spoiler-free version on the
