Guys, I am SO BLONDE.

So, today I was working on this group project, and my friend and I were trying to work out when we're going to get together to finish it up. Normally we meet on Fridays, but I was pretty sure I had a conflict next Friday, so I checked, and this is the conversation that ensued ( Read more... )

Dude, you're going to be in my hometown! Um, while I'm there! *checks calendar* Yes, yes you are. FREAKY! You'll probably be sailing at Shoreline park and I don't think anybody ever sails on the resevoir. Because the only place you could sail on Stanford Campus is Lake Lagunita (more a glorified salt pond) and I believe that's dry at this time of year.

OMG, you totally need to know all the cool spots to go!

Lol, I love my flist. Last weekend I went to New Orleans and got advice on where to go from blondiusmaximus, and now next weekend it looks like I'll be taking advice from you. :)

We probably won't have much free time, and what free time we do have will probably be spent getting crunk with the Stanford sailing team, but if you can recommend ...I dunno, good food or something, that'd be excellent. :)

Ooooh.
I don't know if it is still there or not, but back when Jen and I were teaching summers on the Stanford campus we used to head into P.A. and eat at this little Chinese restaurant called Jing Jing's. I loved that place.

Lol, well, if we come across either of those, I'll be sure to check them out! :)

OH NO! Jing Jings=awful. If you want good Chinese go to Mandarin Gourmet, it's a street over. Also, Pizza A-go-Go renamed itself Pizza My Heart, it's still good, they just decided to be called...something else.

*shaked head* Shame on you! Getting crunk, I've never heard of anything so outrageous in my entire life.

It all depends on your wallet. If you want good for cheap than you should do the two places damo_in_japan suggested. Or Darbar, which is excellent indian food that's inexpensive. Not too far from there is Sushi Tomo, which has excellent sushi for like...ten bucks. If however, you're interested in breaking the bank than you should go to Evvia or the Three Seasons.

Thanks for the suggestions! I won't actually be paying for food, so it's all up to my coach (and the rest of the team), but I'll be sure to mention those places when we're looking for dinner. :)
