"Vincent"

Anyone ever heard of or seen a British show called "Vincent"? It's about an ex-cop turned private eye and from the write up on IMDB, the main character, Vincent Gallagher, sounds a lot like Jim Brass ("macho, flawed, and extremely vulnerable man, who seems to live in the shadows of his past"). It's funny because just yesterday I got this catalog ( Read more... )

Had to google it since I had no idea what the lead actor looked like. He does resemble PG a bit. I've heard of the show but I can't recall where and how--never seen it though. Hmm, it might be worth checking out just for the CSI factor. Plus, I'm a sucker for anything from across the pond.

Yeah, I like the crime shows from BBC America too. I just forget to watch them. And I wish there would be a German channel over here that showed their crime shows as well. German Krimi's are the BEST!

Ray Winstone doesn't really look like PG but he does have that same not-really-handsome-but-good-looking-in-a-tough-sort-of-way, look about him that I seem to be drawn too. I just bumped BSG up in my Netflix queue but I think I'm going to have to push this one ahead of it. Besides, I want to watch BSG on a rainy weekend so I can have a marathon and so far, we're still in a sunny, 90 degree drought.

Heh, that's what I love about PG.

Btw, how's your BSG watching progressing? Oh and, are you expecting any rain from Gabrielle? We've had enough rain around here. I'd love it if the temps were to drop into the lower 60s already.

Um, it hasn't progressed at all but that's probably a good thing since I had a fairly busy summer. However, I kept thinking the DVD's were closer to the top of my queue and when I looked the other day, I realized they were way down the list. So I bumped them up. And I'd been thinking about buying at least the BSG miniseries on DVD. That was soooo good!

No rain from Gabrielle unfortunately. I'd really hoped we would but it looks like she'll come ashore further south and then stay off the coast. Boo!

I've never heard of "Vincent", but I really like Ray Winstone. If you get the chance to see "Sexy Beast", do. He's really good in it, as is Ben Kingsley, in a wildly different role. And yeah, he does have that PG quality of brawn rather than looks, which is what I do go for. But he's blond....

I'll have to put it in the queue, too.

Aren't you also a Ken Stott fan? He's another one who reminds me of PG. I think it's the nose--my best friend once pointed out to me that I seem to like guys with prominent noses. I think she's right. Anyway, I just added "Rebus" to my Netflix queue as well, even though I think I've seen a couple of episodes.

Hmm, I think I'll add "Sexy Beast" to my queue as well. I always did like Ben Kingsley. And yes, he does have a prominent nose...

Yeah, I love Ken Stott. He's been in a couple of films lately, too. I still have to see Shallow Grave, tho. My fav thing he was in was the Messiah series, but I missed the second one. He does have a prominent nose, that could be it for me, too. I'd forgotten about Rebus. I've only seen the ones with John Hannah. Has BBCAmerica shown the ones with Ken Stott?

So now two things to put on the queue...
