We don't have Maggianos out here. Do have a few Apple stores though. Two within 2 miles of one another in Palo Alto. Yes, we're geeks. And a Cheesecake Factory, to boot. Life is good. 'Specially on Fridays.

And didn't he just totally rock last night's ep? Finally.

btw, I'm hoping to post my fic tomorrow.

Usually I buy all my iPod stuff at Best Buy so I can get the rewards but we also get a company discount at the Apple store and last time I was at Best Buy, they didn't have the Sonic Impact.

I like the food at Cheesecake Factory but for actual cheesecake, Maggiano's wins hand's down for me.

I just downloaded "Big Shots" for my iPod. Some of his lines, even the most casual ones like "hi, beautiful" were a hoot! It's a keeper, even with emo!Greg. Oh, and you have to check out the preview of next week's on innertube. "Who's the clown now?"

I'm hoping to actually write my fic tomorrow. It's maybe 1/2 to 3/4 done. Of course, I'll be distracted at some point because I'll have to read your fic.

Sorry about not getting it up yesterday, but I finally got my story up on ff.net. I'll post over on the Brass site tonight when we get back from SF.

I won't tell you before you read it how I feel about the story, but it'll be interesting to hear your take. Gotta run.

I just left a review over on ff.net but I don't know if I can stress enough how good this fic is without going all fangirly. All your fics are amazing but your dandelion fic was always my favorite. Now I'm thinking this one might have a slight edge. I'm really curious to know how you feel about it.

The dandelion one is my fav too.
wiccagirl24's awesome Smutathon fic was the catalyst that got me faffing about with POV. I don't think I've ever really had a good grip on the true Brass voice in my fics the way you do. And I think it's coz I've never really tried to get in his head.
So when I was writing this one that voice, to me, warbled between Brass and some caricature of a mobster and it just didn't feel right. And that radio interview with PG really threw a spanner in it. His voice was sooo different from any of the other ones I'd heard him do, that I really was unsure. If you know what I mean.
But wow, your feedback is amazing and totally not what I was thinking. And of course now the wheels are turning again. But anyway, thanks so much for your awesome feedback.

I have to say you underestimate yourself here. You really do have a good grip on his voice and I can honestly say I've never come across a fic of yours yet where I couldn't "hear" his voice. In this last one, it really came through.

Wanna really get confused, check these out.

When I write Brass, the voice I always get in my head is the one he uses at the end of "Ellie"--when he's by the fountain. Maybe it's not the voice so much as the diction.

Where do you find this stuff??? The golf/Michelob one sounds incredibly polished. I wonder if they used CSI type voice manipulation on them.

That could be my problem, I don't have a specific voice for him, it's all over the board.

I'm really good at Google-Fu and I often look up Paul stuff when I'm supposed to be writing. Actually, though, I can't take credit for finding these. inamberclad came across it. And that last radio interview was sent to me by my best friend. She's bored at work a lot and is always looking for PG stuff to send my way.

Wow...! Paul has a great " voice over " voice...the voice in this is very deliberate to the requirements of these ads...doesn't seem to matter what voice you hear from Paul it makes my heart miss a beat when I hear it!!

When I read fan fic I hear the gruffer voice of the character Jim Brass as portaryed in CSI, I think Paul G has a softer Boston accent, so keep the voice your hear of him with Ellie by the Fountain..thats exactly how I " hear " him when I read Jim Brass.

Love your stories you are writing great stuff!!

Okay, so I've only just gone on Innertube and checked this out. I cannot wait for this scene. And just the fact Catherine is on the other side of the glass. LOLZ. Can't wait. I think I'd sit through 45 minutes of nonstop Greggy angst just to see Brass manhandling a clown.

I watched another promo over on Innertube and I get the impression he and Cath are working the clown case together. Squeeeee! I hope it's more than just a two minute scene.
