so we're reading a book called "Gaviotas, A Village to Reinvent the World" in my Senior Seminar ES class, and I just love this little excerpt. it pretty much sums up how i feel about environmentalism in general...
"It's very romantic to build out of local natural materials, but it's dumb to be purists all the time. And impractical. The future will need nature *and* techonology. We can't make solar panels out of whole-wheat bread." hahaaa
