Melior ... it's hard to believe it's only been a few months since I was last home, but in the meantime Cid's health (or at least his sanity) appears to have deteriorated rapidly. It's truly staggering when you see how obvious it is to me and consider the dozens of people who see him daily, and yet the man still heads the laboratory.
I can't even imagine what Kiros or Fran would think of him if they actually wound of meeting, and Kiros keeps thinking this is some great trip. It's almost enough to take them to a nice dining establishment or hope the Admiral doesn't offer any shore leave.

If the Admiral gives us shore leave, we can probably investigate a few bookstores and the very least, nothing like being in the heart of technology for the country and taking in all the available sights.

This might be my best chance to find out something more about my assailant, if we have shore leave. Although it's hard to say how much data I could really take with me out of the facility, security is tight.
