Rain Man

The latest film I recieved in the mail, from Netflix, which is a service that I highly recommend one should highly consider, is Rain Man, the enchanted tale of a quick talking car salesman who finds he has an autistic savant for a brother when his father dies, who has inherited 3 million dollars. The brother at first tries to "kidnap" him and get his "deserved" half of the 3 millionh. But as they take a journey through the country to get to Los Angeles, they begin to find a connection between the two of them, and in this journey find their brotherhood. Besides the connection, they find the love for eachother that they thought they'd never find. The greatest things about this movie is that it was written and directed by Barry Levinson, a man quite qualified for any kind of movie, and impressively versatile when it comes to his credits. The man has directed Avalon, Good Morning Vietnam, Diner, and many other cinematic classics of the age. I believe he's an Oscar winner. Not totally sure. But anyways, it's an incredible movie because of the fantastic direction, the fantastic script, the fantastic performance from Dustin Hoffman, and one of the best from Tom Cruise, and so many other great aspects. Now, it's not my favorite film of all time or anything, I just highly recommend this film for it's comedy, it's emotion, creativity, blah blah blah. You get it.
