A Pleasant Daze Intermixed with Weariness
No time for a long entry today. I'm pressed for time, and committed to timeliness for a change. The chances that my intentions will pan out are fairly slim, but it's worth the effort to show purpose. I feel good after an enjoyable conversation with a girl that has absolutely no interest in dating me. Also, because I managed to drag Tj onto the Medi Diet along with me. He was resistant at first, but now that he's beginning to adjust, I think he's going to do quite well, and he's already grateful. The results will speak for themselves in due time. I'm doing pretty well myself; I'm just a hair shy of being down 70 lbs, which puts me roughly 70% done and due to finish toward the end of October. I can't wait!
I watched Overnight Delivery finally, and it was just as much fun as I remembered it to be. What's funny is, the last time I watched it, I don't recall recognizing Reese Witherspoon as the leading lady, and pleasantly surprised that she could pose such a sexy, yet sensible role. Besides... that Gremlin she was driving was hawt! *wink wink* Tasteful choice; too bad they're fairly uncommon nowadays. *Nostalgia*
I might be going to see Alice in Chains featuring Velvet Revolver on October 6th. My dear friend Joani has like 10 tickets that she's just GIVING away, and I'm hoping she has enough for me and a friend. I'd really enjoy hammering out one more concert before I go into academic 5th-gear. That should be a great time, and I'll be looking for someone to share the show with me if I manage to snag 2 tickets, so if anybody is interested, bid now! :) First come, first serve.
I need to get back to a normal sleeping schedule before I implode. *sigh*
