Case of the "Mondays"

Well, that was an interesting and eventful weekend!

Friday night, as planned, I got together with my buddy Jesse, albeit later than we had discussed. I found out as I was leaving work on Friday that I had a flat tire, so after a quick doughnut-swap, I headed for Tires Plus to get it fixed, only to learn that it was irreparable. I was not looking forward to the unexpected cost, only to find out that ALL of my tires were in horrible condition due to a poor wheel alignment from my last inspection, and that I needed 4 new tires! Now... I'm no putz; I confirmed the claim after I saw for myself how worn they were, and I was kicking myself for not being alert to my car's condition. So... nearly $500 later, I was on the road again. Jesse and I decided to hit up food and a flick, and quickly agreed on Westshore Pizza and Little Miss Sunshine. The food was delicious (and cheap), and the movie was superbly funny! I dropped Jesse off afterward and headed to bed with the promise of Saturday plans.

Saturday was an early day (for me). I was up around 11 and made breakfast for myself and my buddy Mike, since he needed to use my computer for a HL match at noon. I watched him play for a bit, then he had to leave for work. I hung around for a few hours and played some games and pretty much just relaxed (which was needed), and Jesse called and came over around 4. We spent some time chillin' and chattin' until my parents invited us out to dinner at Bahama Breeze in Clearwater. We happily accepted and joined my parents down at Safety Harbor Pier, since my parents decided that it would be more fun to take the boat over. So yeah... boat ride, dinner, drinks, etc... fun fun! Got home around 10pm and called the guys (Mike and Nate) to see if they were ready to come over. By 10:30, the entire gang was assembled, and we spent the next hour deliberating about the evening plans and getting changed and ready. We were out the door and headed to Ybor by 11:40, arriving shortly after midnight at Club Code. We proceeded to dance to some Drum & Bass and sip expensive beer until around 3am. Admittedly, the music was more Mike's taste, and we were there on his recommendation, but I still got my groove on and had some fun. By the end of it, I was dead tired, and actually slept a bit on the way back. We hit up some spontaneous late-night/early-morning McDonalds on the suggestion of the drunk passenger. They dropped me off around 4:30am, and I was passed out face down by 5.

Sunday *ugh*... I woke up around 5pm, which is rare for me. I hate getting a late start on the day. In fact, it was Mike who woke me up to inform me that he was at my front door and he didn't have his key (former roommate = his own key). I was still rubbing my eyes when I let him in, but it didn't take me long to wake up. We hung out and played for a bit, watched a movie, then he headed out to a friend's party while I had dinner with the folks. Pretty low-key evening, and obviously I didn't get to bed terribly early :-/. Now, I'm just not looking forward to another 9-hour work day and 3-hour school night... *dry heave*

Happy Monday. 4 more days until another Happy Friday :D
