I’ve finally come to a hard but realistic conclusion…my husband is a geek…big time.

The company he works for decided to take the whole gang to Las Vegas earlier this week for the National Association of Broadcasters‘ annual show. Larry and Maria (The Bosses) were kind and generous enough to invite me as well and even though I was aware that I would know absolutely nothing about 75% of the exhibits, I thought I could at least entertain myself with free promos or something.

Wrong.

I knew absolutely nothing about 99% of the exhibits and the booths weren’t giving away free promos unless you had a lengthy conversation on the future of HD in commercial business or the weight restrictions for jibs. Seriously.

While I wanted to poke my eyes out of boredom, Jim was like a little diabetic kid in a candy store. He was so excited about all this stuff and could have happily spent another 3 days at the conference. Made me think of what it would be like if I took him to a fabric conference!

One of the highlights to the trip was getting to know Larry, Maria and Carlos (Jim’s co-worker) better and having quite a few laughs together. We saw LOVE, the Beatles/Cirque show, and Monty Python’s Spamalot.
Both of which were absolutely wonderful and not at all boring. And
Tuesday, Maria and I walked around Vegas, enjoying the pretty hotels
and stopping in H&M for a bit.

We got back Wednesday night, I had yesterday to finish up some orders and get my State Taxes pain because today I’m catching an afternoon flight to Phoenix for a cousin’s wedding shower. I’ll sleep sometime next week, I guess.

Hope everyone has a great weekend and if you don’t…watch this…it’ll make you smile:
