Not only did my sister surprise me and come into town for my birthday but they all chipped in and bought me the Eames-inspired Lounge and Ottoman I’d been eying at the antique store! And then I get back from the amazing weekend at Sierra Grande and what do I have waiting on the doorstep? The Keen slippers from my sister in Houston.
I’m lucky to have so many people in my life to love.

And on a totally unrelated note…I wonder how well the Ironing Blanket works. I actually iron quite a bit (because of Gerbera, not for my personal ironing needs!) and for the last 3 years have been using about three yards of fabric that I fold and place on my desk to iron on.
I wonder if the ironing blanket is essentially the same thing or if it’s made with some sort of material that conducts heat better or something.
If you buy one, let me know.
