Sometimes, you just have to indulge.
As it turns out, I am not going to JordanCon. I planned to be on the road now, headed south. But plans sometimes have to be broken, you know? I've detailed the whys and wherefores elsewhere, and the thought of doing it again is too depressing. So yeah. :P
I'll be sleeping soon. But since my night was made free, I had to do something. So I bought a freaking toaster. This does not sound like something particularly outstanding or wondrous, but it's all about perspective. My old toaster died over a year ago. It just sat on the counter, defunct, yet I never tossed it. I'm not sure exactly why. But obtaining a shiny, chrome-sided toaster this morning - and boxing up the old for removal - was satisfying. I also Redbox-ed a few DVDs, and have spent the past 2 hours watching Step Up: Revolution and drinking a large frozen Coke. It was nice to unwind, watch gyrating, sweaty males, and slurp my frosty beverage. I have officially stayed up waaaaaaay past my bedtime.
And now that I've had my minor rebellion, I'll go to bed. Because tonight is another day. Kind of. Working nights is a whole other perspective!
