Uggghhh. This sucks.
Yesterday was on training ride w/ Frances. At the end of the ride just as we got back on campus I somehow crashed into the ground face-first. I don't know how, because I don't remember it. I woke up on the ground, looking at Frances' face which was spattered with my blood. The rest gets hazy but they took me by ambulance to the ER, cut off ALL of my clothing, stuck me with needles everywhere, scanned my brain and neck, and gave my face 12 stitches. I had a deep laceration right beneath my nose and bit through part of my upper lip. My front teeth were loose (less loose today thankfully). And a bunch of skin on my cheek is gone. My lip is swollen 5 times its normal size and half of my face looks like Quasimodo or something. My chin is huge and dark purple. The pic I put up on facebook isn't half as bad looking as how I look today. Anyway, it hurts a lot. It feels like half my face is constantly on fire, on top of the ache. I got a prescription for percocet which helps, but I'm going to have to miss classes for a few days. I can barely stand to look in the mirror, I look so fucking gross. But it could have been worse. I was wearing my helmet, have no brain damage, still have all my body parts.
