either that or i know people too well for their own good. i can be perceptive when i choose to be.

people in hell want ice water but that dont mean they get it

i hear so many thoughts in my head... voices of those whom ive had close to me...
i can hear the recent past...
"listen with your heart not your head"
always easier said...
i spoke to you last night
and again this morning
to hear your wondrous tale
of the fox
you saw jump off the road
fearless
at 5am
because we were the only two souls awake
before dawn
i can hear the current...
words of admiration
of equality
of care
tones that show
the curiosity
that was lacking in others
curiosity i think i reciprocate
the thinking holds me back
and there are the other voices
the ones swimming with warning
stewing with discontempt
of scenarios that leave me hurt
less sure
and in a position to regrow
they dont like regrowth
they like sturdiness
i dont know if i want to

or avoid the storm altogether
