I just wanted to post a reminder that the election is coming up, and that there is more than one race going on. Lots of elections are fairly easy to decide, just vote for the person who you agree with ideologically and or feel could do the job the best. But remember that its also important to do your homework and look up what you can about the qualifications of Judicial candidates.
Going to vote tomorrow, and there was one race in which I was undecided, the GA Court of Appeals. Thankfully I found a website online where there were interviews with each of the candidates.
Here is one, with links to the others on the right hand side:
http://www.whatisgoinon.com/podcast/2008/08/03/chris-mcfadden-candidate-for-judge-georgia-court-of-appeals/ With judges the only real criteria you can decide on is their qualifications. A judges personal political leanings should have no impact on their decisions, as their job is to be impartial. That being the case, I fear that some people may just pick whoever's name they like the best or some other random inconsequential tidbit. I'll admit I've been guilty of such in the past. But we owe it to ourselves to actually do our homework before election day.
