Smile and Formula 1

Sep 03, 2009 17:37

It was MatsuJun's birthday last sunday. To celebrate him I actually spent that weekend watching his drama Smile.
I started on friday and saw the last episode in the evening on sunday.
The reason why it took so long was because I went out with my colleagues on saturday evening and I watched the Formula 1 race on sunday.

But I really like Smile!
And since I was watching it alone I started to cry about 10 minutes into the first episode. I'm a sucker for romantic dramas.
Every time I watch one of those sad dramas I sit here in front of the computer, crying and screaming to the screen like a mad person.
The funny thing about it is that I really LOVE doing it!
And this drama was just like that. I was sobbing almost the entire drama.
This was actually the first drama that I have ever watched with MatsuJun in the leading role.
He's such a good actor though!  He just "becomes" the character.
I think he's kind of a perfectionist when it comes to acting.

And he looked soooo good!
His hair was amazing, especially in the prison-scenes. *fans herself*
I'm not just a sucker for his drama, I'm a sucker for him tanned and with longer hair to.. *sighs*
There was actually a special scene that I liked. The episode (I don't remember what episode) where she's trying to "connect" the two of them by hooking their pinkies together. That was just so adorable!
I really wish I had the courage to do things like that to someone I like.. Not that I have someone special in mind, but if I got in that situation I don't think that I would dare to even try..

To the conclusion. I love Smile and I love MatsuJun. It's just as easy as that!
He's an amazing actor and I really recommend this drama to anyone who enjoy watching romantic dramas.
But be aware, there's a big chance that you are going to cry like a baby!

Every second sunday I watch Formula 1 live, it doesn't matter when it airs. They drive on different tracks each race so I always have to adjust to the time-differences.
The race that was last sunday was actually kind of interesting and fun, especially compared to the one that was before that..

Massa (Ferrari) is still recovering from his injury so Badoer replaced him in this race to. I don't understand why they let him drive again. In the last race (Europe GP) Räikkönen (Ferrari) started in the 6th grid and Badoer started in the 20th grid. Do you know what that means?
He was the last car! He started waaaay back! There are only 20 cars racing and he started as car number 20! A Ferrari!
I don't think that I have EVER seen that before. Okay, maybe I have but IF that has ever happed before it's because they have had technical problems with the engine or something so they got a penalty. It must have been kind of embarrassing for Ferrari..

Anyway, back to talking about this race!
Button (Brawn-Mercedes) and Hamilton (McLaren-Mercedes) crashed on the first lap and had to retire. I think it was in the second curve or something. That means that two of the best drivers where out of the game, leaving the race to Barrichello (Brawn-Mercedes). Or so they thought.
There was just one problem. Barrichello never found the speed. He started in the 4th grid and despite the accident that happened later in the race, making the safety car come out and gather all the cars together again, he was never really close to winning the race. He finished as the 7th car.
But for me, as a Scandinavian Ferrari fan, it was a really great race!
Räikkönen drove sooo good and won!
He won for the first time since last years season!
You could actually tell that he was quite pleased with his performance. When he stood on the podium he smiled and THAT is not a thing he does often! The pressconference that followed right after was kind of boring. He sat there as always with Fisichella (Force India-Mercedes) on his left side and Vettel (RBR-Renault) on his right side. He said he was happy but, as usual, he never showed it.

Fisichella, who finished in second place, has NEVER been on the podium before.
He was soooo happy and his team was even happier. And the funny thing is that I read today that Fisichella is going to replace Badoer in the next race. Force India-Mercedes actually released him from his contract so he can join the Ferrari team instead. After this season he's going to serve as Ferrari's reserve driver in 2010.
I wonder how much Ferrari had to pay Force India to get Fisichella out of his contract.. I'm sure he wasn't for free.

All in all it was a great weekend!
And we had a great night out on saturday to. Just for the record, I came home at 4 in the morning ^^

Just two more days and we have another weekend coming up.
Unfortunately I have to work on saturday..
