I guess I should've done this originally when I made those reminders a few days ago, but I guess that people would know about rule number one when they joined. So, just in case people didn't read the rules before joining or have forgot, let me remind you all.
1. Victim blaming is absolutely prohibited here. We don't care if you're a former victim yourself. Victims of bullying (including victims of other forms of abuse) deal with this shit all the time from others in society. We will not tolerate it here. If you do this, you'll be warned to knock it off. If you don't heed warning, you will be banned from the community!
Please remember: Every person here has been bullied differently. Every person here deals with situations differently.
As I said, victims of bullying...as well as other forms of abuse...deal with this shit ALL the time in society. This community is a safe haven from this. It sucks when people, who have never been bullied or abused produce the victim blame card. It's worse when another victim, former or current, does it. Victim blaming defeats the purpose of this community and I won't tolerate it!
Consider this post a fair warning
ETA: I am thinking about amending that rule now, but only to cross out the last sentence. The consequence of violating this rule is still being banned, but only after three warnings are given rather than not being warned at all. I'm not a total orge. Well, imo anyway)
ETA 2: I editted the rule today that will allow a person to be warned about victim blaming. If they don't heed warning, they will be removed from the community.
