like this girl stuck her fist in my face once so I bit it
I chuckled at that. I should've done that myself.

I was the same way. After dealing with bullies' bullshit for so long, my tolerance for it died. My breaking point had happened when a nasty rumor was going around school about me and I was so pissed off about it that I told the group of these tough girls that the person who spread it better find themselves a nice spot at the intensive care unit because that's where I would be sending that person if I caught them. By the next day, the rumor died and no one dared spread rumors about me after that.

I'm actually shocked I didn't get in trouble with that, but this was pre-Columbine. I imagine if I said shit like that afterwards, ´my ass would've gotten in trouble.

I hear you. I was hassled verbally for almost 2 years by this boy in high school. Late my senior year I snapped. He mouthed off, I got him in a headlock and started pounding him (I had been a weightlifter for over a year!). My 1st period teacher saw us and I let go and I turned myself over to him. "I'm sorry, Mr. Teetzen. He's been giving me grief since I started coming to school here. He just said one nasty thing too many today. I snapped." He just motioned me into AP chem class to make myself a cup of tea as was our custom in class. (Who knows how that got started, but we made tea in beakers over bunsen burners and sipped it quietly in class as we listened to our teacher, did experiments carefully, and studied. Actually, I think I may have played a role in starting that ( ... )
