[ Jade still doesn't really know what's going on, even after her encounter with Karkat, so she looks plenty worried when she hurries over. ]

Tavros! [ She crouches beside him, trying to figure out what's wrong, or at least calm him down. ] What happened, are you hurt?

[He leans away from her, but he knows he can't run. They won't work anymore.

But they don't hurt. They don't feel anything anymore.]

Nothing happened, they just, stopped working, please, go away, you don't have to make fun of me.

I'm not going to make fun of you. [ She looks from him, to his legs, which she notices seem to be in working order. ] You mean your legs?

[He slams his fist into his thighs - hard - hoping to feel anything at all.]

. . . We have to, uh, take them off, again.

[frogst]

[ She grabs for his wrist, though ultimately too late to stop him from doing anything. ]

No, we don't. Look at them, you're moving your legs right now.

[He starts shaking his head, slowly at first.]

They won't, I can't feel anything, at all, please don't make fun of me, I know you don't like, useless guys, who can't walk, but please, go away, I just want to go back to sleep.

I'm not making fun of you! And I'm not going away either. [ She lets go of his wrist to try and help him to at least sit up. Assuming she is successful, she is quick to pull him into a hug. ] So you're just going to have to deal with it.

[bullsit]

[He's scared and as alone as before, and he has no idea what she wants - they all want something, and it's something he doesn't have. He's stiff in her arms, like a dead thing.]

Please, just let me go to sleep.

[frogst]

You can go to sleep. Just let me help you inside first, okay?

[He sinks his own claws into his leg.]
