Tavros has just wheeled across the room in his chair and opened the window, making the curtains flutter in the chilly breeze. he doesn't seem to mind

I think you're supposed to make wishes during Tanabata instead, though.. uu-.

Tanabata? [ repeats that really awkwardly, but at least he gets through the whole word instead of giving up trying to pronounce it halfway. ] What's that?

It's a festival where everyone gets to make a wish! Maria has made wishes during it before, and they always came true, kyakyakya!

... Uu-, but Maria thinks it's only celebrated in Japan, so maybe that's why you didn't hear of it yet..

Oh. That is probably it, yes, since, uhh, I don't even know what a Japan is, either.

It's, uhh, basically, in the most simple of ways that I can say it, a place where a lot of individuals reside, collectively...

Uu-, that does sound a little like a country then.. It's a place where a lot of people stay together! Weren't there any countries back home for you?

Not really... um. [ hm. ] I don't know if I can describe it in human words, without, I guess, making it more confusing, even.

That's okay. We can talk about Tanabata instead then, uu-! You would probably want to celebrate it too, right?

Okay, yes, let's talk about that thing that you said. How does it work? Is it like the Christmas holiday?

It's a little different.. You see, you have to write your wish on a small card! And then you tie it on the tree, and then hopefully a witch will come to fulfill it! [ okay, no, that last part is the Maria version of it.. ]

A witch?

Uu-, a witch! Like Maria's best friend Beato, or any of the other witches around!

Oh wow, that's really cool! I didn't know that witches could also make wishes come true.
