Oh, sorry, uhh, was I talking too fast? [ seems kind of surprised by that, but he clears his throat and tentatively starts again. ] The thing that I was wanting help with was, uhh, suggestions regarding an encounter with the leader of the Gym establishment in Goldenrod City. Namely... what kinds of things I should do in order to be prepared? And, uhh, I guess just stuff like that.

No, not too fast, just- forget it. [ She waves it off, but at least she doesn't sound impatient? ]

Don't have anything specific for ya. Just train and bring lots of healing stuff. But if you're that worried, you could always just go challenge her. If ya win, then you're done. If you don't, then you know what you gotta improve, yeah?

That's true, the point that you just made just now, but the problem I was thinking of with it is that it doesn't seem like it would be fair, mostly, to my team of beasts, to make them endure that kind of defeat just for a sort of, uhh, experimentation type process.

[titanite]

I wouldn't go if you didn't have chance. [ That's just cruel. ] But there's no such thing as a sure win, so if ya wait for that you'll never do it.

Why not ask your guys if they wanna give it a shot?

[ raises eyebrows! why didn't he think of that. no, really. ]

I guess I could definitely do that, yes! Then they could tell me their specific feelings on how sure they are that a win is to be secured, or not, rather than just, uhh, assuming.

[ She raises an eyebrow back at him as she listens to his response. Really, it's not so hard to follow when she's forewarned, but does he really have to take the most roundabout way of saying something? ] Prob'ly for the best, since they're the ones doing the actual fighting.

[ Wait a minute. In all that talk she almost missed something. ] How specific are we talking?

Well, by specific, I was meaning a proper discussion of it, their feelings I mean, in which they could explain their thoughts and other things that I guess are things that happen in discussions of this nature...

Jealous? Because of the talking to beasts ability that I have, I don't know if that's a good reason for an emotion like that, even though I guess, uhh, situationally, it might be a good one for having...

Just think it'd be handy, even if we do alright for ourselves using charades. [ She tips her head slightly. ] Don't gotta be so modest about it.

Well, I guess so, just, I didn't want to seem in a way of being smug about the ability that I have to commune with the monsters, is all.

[ ...Fang honestly has no idea if she's charmed or exasperated by Tavros at the moment. Maybe both. ]
