The bad thing about being me (or I should say, the bad thing about living where I live) is that, especially in the spring when the evening breeze is at it's nicest and lightest and most effervescent, it sucks to leave the windows open. JulMoWriMo? What is this beast? I've been feeling the itch to write again and I think some prompts would help me on my way.

Also, regarding windows being open in the springtime: I am lucky to not have to deal with foul-mouthed passers-by. The trade-off? Bats. None of the windows here have screens, and bats tend to take that as an open invitation to make themselves cozy.

Ridiculous, huh? But yeah, apparently for the people who just can't get enough of coffee chugging late nights, weeping from the devastation of a week long writer's block, there is apparently such a thing as JulNoWriMo. Same basic idea, just in July. Also the website I found for them had some writing prompts for each day in June to get you ready for the glorious event.

I live across the street from a gas station and a Knights of Columbus multipurpose hall(the purpose usually seems to include many people and an open bar).

The convenience store attached to the gas station in particular seems to draw the colorful characters out of the neighborhood.
