I Thought You Were
Pairing: Leah/Embry
Note: I'm new at this so don't hate.
'I thought this wasn't possible' Leah thought as she was running patrol. It was a beautiful afternoon and having found out she imprinted on no other than Embry Call. 'Good thing my shift is almost over, I want to see the sunset, might clear my head ..... for a while at least' She kept on running. Leah loves the adrenaline pulsing through her blood, the wind wooshing through her fur, the earthy and musky scent of the grass and trees and basically the whole forest.
As she was running she felt a pull coarse through her head. 'Must be Embry comin into wolf form. Gotta phase as soon as he is in his wolf form.'She was going to phase back to human form when all of a sudden Embry spoke. It has so soft and a little above a whisper Leah almost missed it. 'Leah? Can we talk for a moment?' Oh his voice! Husky yet boyish and shy. Typical Embry. Yet his voice was also strong yet soft and smooth. Something Leah never noticed before. Leah couldn't let him know of her imprint and blocked her thoughts so Embry wouldn't know what she thought of him. Strong, muscley, sweet, shy, funny, caring... 'Uh Leah? So can we?' She was starting to forget he was there until he spoke. 'Uh my shift is over and I don't want to waste my time speaking to you!'
This hurt Leah. She didn't want to hurt him, but this was better for both of them. What hurt the most was that she felt Embry was hurt at her words. 'Why?' leah thought to herself while keeping her thoughts blocked from Embry.
'Leah...I promise this won't take long. Please, can we talk?' Embry seemed ....embarrased and.. hurt?
She wanted to say "Talk Embry.... Let's speak into the night and dawn. Tell me you love me. Tell me you won't hurt me like ... " ...like Sam.
She couldn't love another. Sam's break up with her still hurt an everyone in her pack knew that. 'Even that stupid leech-lover does' She managed to seeth. It took alot of practice to block her thoughts, She practiced s no on would hear her when in wolf form. (Everyone ignores her though so it was to her advantage. Was it?)
'Fine but make this quick!' She seethed. 'It's for our own good'
Leah ... oh how should i say this?-'
'Well just spit it out Call!' This is for his own good.. it'll keep him away.. it will...
"L-Leah?'
'WHAT?! Spit it out before i leave.' I don't want to hurt you, but i have to.
'Nevermind. It was stupid anyway.'
She phased and put on her pale yellow dress and ran off leaving Embry in the forest. She ran until her legs burned and were starting to lose thier balance. She stumbled upon a great oak and sat to rest.
' I thought he was going to tell me he loved me. But that will only be in my dreams.' Tears were slowly starting to flow down her cheeks. Her warm hands cupping her face only made her face heaten up more.
"I actually thought you were Embry..."
A/N: i have so many ways for this to end. I'm thinking an using this and adding alternate endings or using this to write all my ideas in. Any suggestions?
