How Col. Gaffneyis Warped my Thinking
So I'm at Irish Fest, in my Celtic Nations P&D uniform (white shirt, black vest & tie, Hunting McGregor kilt, hose & flashes, black shoes and Glengarry) and found myself thinking a couple of different times, "Is this period?"
And I'd look at people dressed in kilts and such and think, "Wow, how romanticized are you!"
And I actually felt out of place without any buckskinners around. There were some re-enactors, and some of them looked pretty good (with the helmets that came down over their nose, and the Civil War 5th Wisconsin fife and drum band) but some looked like they were dressed in plaid pajamas.
